The platter assembly weighs over 10 lbs. (4.6 kg) and is mated to SME’s highly advanced New Drive System. There are even options for dual tonearms and the ability to upgrade to V arms. Tonearms are wired with pure Mono-Crystal Silver wiring. Even the appearance of the turntable can be upgraded to SME’s beautiful 75th anniversary Diamond Finish. The Model 12 Mk. 2 is perfectly comfortable playing all types of music and the broad range of its model options makes it perfectly comfortable in any system.
