Comprised of digital-to-analog converters, analog preamplifiers featuring digital input and streaming capabilities and B.audio’s bespoke optional EX room correction software, and stereo and mono amplifiers, the Reference Series ventures well into areas inhabited by much more expensive marques.
All digital products feature SJR, B.audio’s jitter removal technology that strips digital clocking signatures from the audio data but leaving the data itself intact and was deemed groundbreaking and effective enough to be granted an international patent. Preamplifiers will actively convert any unbalanced signal to full balanced and take advantage of the noise-free gain environment of balanced operation and feature surface-mount technology for symmetrical balanced operation (as are the amplifiers) to reduce noise to a minimum. The amplifiers themselves use an additional driver stage to eliminate the crossover distortion traditionally inherent in AB output stages to provide the clarity of Class A with the energy efficiency of AB operation.
