Master Crown’s World-wide Product Launch Events Hosted by Monarch Systems in Santa Fe, NM for Press and Dealers
They started arriving on June 19th. People from all the United States and Canada, writers, dealers, editors, enthusiasts, they all came for the premier of Siltech’s new Master Crown series of cables, the crown jewel in Siltech’s lineup of world-leading audio cables. The debut event, scheduled to happen on the afternoon of June 21st, 2024, would be hosted by Monarch Systems at the La Casita showroom space in Santa Fe, NM and would feature Gabi Rijnveld who made the trip to attend all the way from the Siltech factory in the Netherlands. Electronics and speakers at the very bleeding edge of audio esoterica were assembled to demonstrate the abilities of Master Crown. This was to be a wonderful release event.
Unfortunately, DHL had other plans.
Somewhere in Brussels, Belgium the plane that was carrying the shipment of the very first Master Crown cables produced—including serial number 00001—was disabled at an airport and wasn’t going anywhere.
Not to worry: Gabi brought prototype cables with her in her luggage and those gathered were able to hear the very special thing that is Master Crown. Even in prototype form, Siltech’s very highest performing cable series is a very obvious step up in performance from the Double and Triple Crown cables on hand for comparison. While most certainly not inexpensive, Master Crown features a host of improvements that give it exceptional value:
- A new conductor material, S10a, that utilizes Siltech’s Mono-crystal Silver technology now augmented with a tiny amount of gold to make electrical transfer throughout the cable’s length absolutely seamless,
- A massive increase in conductor size and quantity, up to 18 conductor cores where Triple Crown maxed out at 6,
- Unique winding patterns, developed with the help of advanced spectral analysis software authored by Siltech themselves, to significantly reduce interference from outside magnetic fields while at the same time containing internal magnetic fields and preventing each core from interfering with the others,
- The most complex and comprehensive insulation and shielding system Siltech has ever incorporated into any cable series, featuring numerous materials to best protect them from the full spectrum of distortion and interference,
- Balanced Grounding and Zero Crossing Distortion to maintain the lowest possible noise floor and achieve group delay,
- Current Shielding Distortion (CSD) conductor layout that eliminates any effect of the shield on the conductors and the audio signal when current passes through the cables,
- Speaker cables with a noise floor of 8 Femtowatts, or 8 trillionths (0.000000000000008) of a watt for the absolute lowest possible noise floor, and thus the highest resolution, of any audio cable in the world,
- New and unique gold plasma plated connectors for the best possible signal transfer,
- And, perhaps most amazingly, a very flexible and bendable design even though the cables have a larger diameter than Triple Crown.
Despite the finished cables not arriving until the Monday after the two-day event had ended, the event imparted a huge amount of knowledge to those who attended (special thanks to Edwin Rijnveld of Siltech for his video conference calls with everyone) and an amazing arrangement of music, food, and drink was enjoyed. We even think we invented the Crown Royal Crown drink (combine 2 oz of Crown Royal with RC Cola and a slice of lemon in a tall glass of ice) while enjoying way too many biscochitos (Note: we don’t give up the biscochito recipe easily), New Mexican cuisine, and a bit of live flamenco.)
